The Curious 'Tail' of a Harvest Mouse and BBC Wildlife Magazine!

If you've read this blog before, you will know that we are undertaking a project to investigate the ecology of a very diminutive and secretive native mammal species - the harvest mouse!

This summer saw another successful controlled release of these animals. We want to know how they disperse through farmland habitats to better understand their role within ecosystems, and we were lucky to be joined by freelance write Dr Amy Beer and natural history film-maker Dr Nick Upton on a warm day back in July.

Our work will be featured in a future edition of BBC Wildlife Magazine, and we'll let you know when it hits the press!
